08 October 2020: Barakat Cotton has been inspected and assessed by Control Union Certifications in accordance with the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) and has obtained Scope Certificate No. CU1070886GOTS-2020-00063058.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.

30 October 2020: Barakat Pamuk complied with the necessary licensing requirements of the
Cotton Council International and became a certified Cotton USA licensee. Cotton Council

24 February 2021: Barakat Cotton is positively engaged in caring and preserving the environment. Tree
planting is one way of showing our efforts in making this world a much better place to live in. On 24
February 2021, the whole team at Barakat Pamuk joined hands to plant 160 tress on the first annual
planting activity of the company in Islahiye, Turkey.
